A Summer Afternoon: Ayurveda in Practice
with Rita Murti + Angie Farid
New Date: Tuesday, June 30 | 3–6 PM
Summer asks something different of us.
To slow down. To soften. To follow what feels good.
The fruit is sweeter now. The herbs more fragrant. Meals become simpler — built around what’s ripe, what’s cooling, what the body actually wants in the heat.
Join us for A Summer Afternoon: Ayurveda in Practice, the next gathering in our seasonal series with Rita Murti and Angie Farid of Sofret Zozo.
This session leans fully into summer’s rhythm: juicy fruit, cooling herbs, bright citrus, and food that feels hydrating, alive, and effortless. Together, we’ll cook in a way that supports the body through the heat — keeping digestion steady, energy lifted, and the experience of eating light but deeply satisfying.
Rita brings her background as a yoga practitioner, physical therapist, and Ayurveda practitioner, with an approach that is grounded, intuitive, and rooted in daily life. Together, we translate these ideas into food that feels natural, sensual, and easy to return to.
The afternoon unfolds slowly. We begin with something cool in hand, move through cooking side by side, and end the way summer should be spent — gathered around the table, eating food that feels fresh, vibrant, and just enough.
You’ll leave with:
• a clearer sense of how to eat through the heat
• simple ways to cook with fruit, herbs, and seasonal produce
• a deeper understanding of balance in summer
• and the feeling of having spent an afternoon exactly as it should be spent
If you’ve joined us before, this will feel like a continuation.
If you haven’t, summer is a beautiful place to begin.
